As in previous years, Colin kindly took the displays to the Abbey  the evening before and we were able to have our &#8220;usual&#8221; spot.  It meant we had good access to the electrics, and room to put out our five panel display.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"854\" data-id=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/test.osgodbyvillage.uk\/heritage\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2022\/02\/abbey-2002-2-1024x854.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-480\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"829\" data-id=\"481\" src=\"https:\/\/test.osgodbyvillage.uk\/heritage\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2022\/02\/abbey-2002-1024x829.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-481\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This year,  we displayed information about the land and the Manor of  Osgodby Estate, together with maps.  Our digital display was on the farms, and sharing aerial photographs we had been kindly donated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It was great to catch-up with other Heritage and History Groups from the area who we had missed seeing in 2021.  It was quite a busy day with, as usual, a good footfall.  We were visited by a lady who grew up on Osgodby Common, and she shared her family stories.  Another visitor, was John Lee who had given a talk on the Knights Templar and returning to give a talk on how maps can help research.  It was a little embarrassing as he was not recognised at first, and John laughed and commented that it was difficult when wearing masks!
