You can be excused for thinking we are about to give some Spring advice for your garden – but no – the Osgodby Dig is about to start!
Jon Kenny our Community Archaeologist will be leading the dig in the village. In September 2021, under Jon’s expert guidance, we undertook some geophysics work in a part of the village that has always been of interest to us. The land, has intrigued us for some time. Now to find out if it has a hidden story?
Work will be starting at the beginning of April for an 8 week period, and we are sure local residents will “want to know what’s going on”. Has a building developer moved in?
We have invited local residents to join in, and come along and learn a little more about archaeology. We will also be working with colleagues from other local groups.
