“Granny’s Kitchen” – Meeting 10 January 2023

We look forward to the New Year and organising meetings for 2023. We are delighted that our first meeting on 10 January 2023 has local historian and author David Lewis coming along to share his tale of a chance find of a battered notebook in a Selby Charity Shop. He tells the story of Mary Eleanor Blakey (whose father farmed at Bowthorpe Hall (Hemingbrough), and who has family connections with an Osgodby family. (What a small, small world we live in). David will also be bringing along Edwardian cakes made following Mary Eleanor’s recipes for you to try

The meeting is open to everyone. A small voluntary contribution toward refreshments costs would be appreciated.
