Today, Mark met a friend in the village with the intention of using her drone to take some aerial photos of Pear Tree Farm and the Wadkin Arms as part of the buildings archaeology survey, and the Village Institute.
In mild weather and light winds (remember those?) they set the little machine going, and it did the business! From a couple of high vantage points, it produced clear and detailed images of the Institute building, the Wadkin pub, and Pear Tree Farm on South Duffield Road. All for the cost of treating an old friend to lunch at the Garden Centre!
It is good seeing these places from a different perspective.
