Shirley was feeling very excited today – drones were coming to Osgodby.

About 30 people attended the Aerial Archaeology Workshop. Jon Kenny, Community Archaeologist, and Tony Hunt, Yorkshire Archaeology Mapping, ran the afternoon covering all aspects of aerial archaeology, taking photos, crop marks, and other scientific methods of looking for archaeology from the sky. At the end of the session, Tony and Stuart were flying drones over the village. We look forward to next year when some survey work will be carried out. The drones will be back!
